Reef - Is my first cohesive body of work consisting of 6 pieces produced since completing school. The series alters the modern-era inspired ceramic vessel to create both and functional and visually dynamic form. Because my inspiration stems from the fluidity in glass artistry and the diverse ecosystems that form the coral reefs the series takes on a playful and oceanic quality. Playful as the works may seem the many spikes that appear to puncture the surface of the vessel create a unique challenge. The spikes act like a defensive organism living on the surface of the object protecting its contents. As the eye travels around the vessel it almost appears to move and wave like reacting to an ocean current.

Drawing from my background in architecture, "Edges" takes a fun and quirky wedge out of the typical geometric votive holder. The result is a dynamic yet minimal product that works in a wide variety of interior environments. Glazed with a stunning silver interior the candle light brilliantly reflects outwards while the subtle mint green body softens the holders sometimes harsh edges. Please note additional color options are in production.

The collection is part of an on going exploration to make static home/decor objects more playful and interactive by giving them movement. The Wobble Vase is a mini vase intended for small stem flowers, pens and other small objects. The name Wobble Vase comes from when I was back in school. A studio mate saw these vases and jokingly called them a weeble-wobble due to the fact they rotate and move as a result of there pointed bases.
